Tarragon Presents:
Debut Novels by
Northwest Student Writers
We are excited to offer a showcase for promising student fiction writers. Tarragon is publishing these select novels as Print-on-Demand and eBooks in a not-for-profit program whose mission is to gain exposure for these debut novelists. We publish nonexclusively, so that the authors will be free to publish elsewhere as they gain recognition.
We are pursuing links with agents and editors, as well as readers, to help introduce exciting new authors to a wider readership.
Andrew Cofrin, author of the novel Deadly Angel, has stepped forward as our benevolent angel in generously providing funds to launch this program.
Submission guidelines
for student novelists:
You must have been enrolled in high school or college classes within the past year, and have not yet published a novel commercially. Please send an email to Sara Stamey, managing editor of Tarragon Books:
Include IN THE BODY of the email (no attachments) a brief introduction about yourself and your student status, as well as any previous publications of short creative writing. Describe your COMPLETED novel (no partials considered) in 1 to 3 paragraphs. Look at tips for writing a query letter on www.agentquery.com
It is essential practice to write a compelling, brief description of your novel, as this synopsis will serve you well in your continuing career as you seek publication and readers.
